CRT monitors. Will JVC hold its own?

I own an old Sony, but on my last visit to the FOX lot in LA I've notice a lot of JVC monitors all over the place.
My host told me they like the monitors and it's a great cost/benefit ratio.

JVC makes very good monitors.

It's one of the (few?) things they do well.

A great one is the TM-910SU. The same monitor is also sold branded by Panasonic and Ikegami (each in their repective priceing policy). But the Monitor is all JVC.

I wouldn't get the JVC you linked to though. You want a "Broadcast" monitor, not an "Industrial" monitor. There's price diference, but it's necesarry for the controls for proper calibration.

JVC listed it themselves as good for broadcast with bluecheck, coloroff and underscan. Thanks for the warning.

I'll probably just get the sony.
