Cross platform collaboration

Anyone have any workflow tips for collaborating with another edit in another state and crossing platform from MAC to PC

Both systems are MC 5.0

The plan is to send footage masters on drives and swap project files via dropbox.

Is it really that simple. What about AMA can we use AMA on a cross platform collaboration>

Just keep copies of the Avid MediaFiles folders locally on each system and exchange bins over DropBox or email. I have done many projects this way. Just make sure you come up with a naming scheme for the bins you share so as to not overwrite work that may have been done on either system.
