cross editing from final cut.

Ok, not sure if this is even possible.

There are 3 of us editing my feature film. We have been using final cut pro.

I however use premiere, so I was borrowing a mac to help.. well I had to give the mac back and was trying to figure out how I could still help using premiere?

Is it possible to edit clips that were captured in final cut? in premiere?

and if so, is it possible to export the project as an XML that final cut can read? And if thats possible what will it "retain" once its in final cut.. the cuts? color correction? anything?

The stuff I need to edit is straight forward dialog stuff, no special fx or anything like that.

I don't have Final Cut Pro. But I have read that you can get an XML export of a sequence. Unless there's a full 'project' export, you'd have to do this sequence by sequence.

The other issue is the Codec. I think there's a Pro Res codec for PC, which will allow you to 'read' quicktime media with that codec, presuming the FCP folks use ProRes... pretty much standard for editing...

I have Final Cut Express and there is no XML export of any sort... big bummer... started to convert a project 'manually'... pain in the ass...
