Critical problem..

I have two hmc150 which have been sharing batteries and SDHC cards for almost a year now with no issues. However, on the last two weddings, one has developed a nasty issue where it will be recording as normal, the lCD will go black (like its off) for a second, then reappear with the 'do you want to repair clip, yes \ no' menu. Selecting yes it will go ahead and repair the clip successfully.

This happens with various batteries and SDHC cards but always the same camera.

It's happened three times each wedding.

Any ideas....?

It's just still under warranty but would like to have an idea if its anything anyone else has experienced. Thanks
 
Hrmm... sounds like the camera is shutting off and when it comes back on you get that message if you were recording... I had that happen to me using AC and power going out for a second... Is it a possible bad battery connection?
 
Thanks for replying Mad, thats what i thought too, had a look at the little pins on the camera where the battery connects but looks fine to me, not a lot to check out really. It happens with various batteries so I know the problem is the cam.
