Your stills look great. To me, I see, bored rich kid laying around and his angry Father that wants him to do something with his life. Am I close?

Great stills, Justin! I'm assuming you'll be cropping to widescreen, etc. but I also prefer to shoot 4x3, so I have more creative (and/or sometimes 'corrective') room to move in post for framing.

My favorite is the wider shot of the pool, with Matt laying down ... love the reflection, etc. The one that looks the softest focus, is the CU of the hand over the water ... most likely because I'm expecting it to REALLY stand out and/or perhaps I'm just starting to get used to seeing HVX footage with the adapters .... though I still have the DVX myself.

Do you think the softness is simply due to the adapter, or were you not able to pull the exact focus you wanted? Or was that a creative choice for the softness? Don't get me wrong ... eitherway the stills look great, and I'm excited to see how even much better everythings going to look after post CC, etc.!

I am excited to see what these look like color graded. I like the third one best but have a feeling that I will really like the second one after the color grading occurs.

Norm.. Yup, we shot it full screen so that I can play with the placement and i'll be putting in the psuedo widescreen. You got it. :)

ya, I'm anxious to see what it'll look like color graded myself. But, alass.... that's the last thing I'm worried about at the moment.

till the next round!

Thanks Aram!

Just had an Underwater Test shot today with Robert Eldon's EpicCam underwater housing unit. It's SCHWEEEET!. Working below the surface is a friggin' whole new ballgame. I'll fill you guys in on the mistakes as I make them. :)

Justin,

Congratulations on the music for the trailer! Very nice my friend. And regarding the brownie points... my wife is very impressed. We loved it. And, BTW, her birthday is on July 13th (the release date).

Best Regards,

Robert
