"Crimson" - Shot with DVX100A

We wrapped this about two and half weeks ago. It is a vampire movie about four nursing students who find a badly beaten woman on the road and end up taking her back to their sorority house to try and nurse her back to health. What they don't know is that this woman is on the run from a "vampire" cult. The movie itself is kind of a cross between "Sex & The City" and the late 80s vampire classic "Near Dark."

"Crimson" was written by Daniel Chant and directed/shot by Rich Poche.

Some stills from the flick...

ROSA (Jade Tailor) hears a voice in the darkness. A vampire perhaps?

JODIE (Elizabeth DiPrinzio) tends to the needs of the injured Sammi.

CARLA (Jaimi Paige) and AMY (Leesel Boulware) engage in girly talk.

Here's the poster we decided on.

Again, just trying to get the word out and establish some dialogue with some folks who may be interested in checking this flick out when it becomes available. Will be posting some trailers in a short while.

that poster RULES!!!!
Thanks Kyle. My friends from the UK designed it. They've got a few more designs going, trying to do a "Sin City" type thing with a different poster design for each character.

Thanks for your interest, Blaine.

Running time is looking like 75-80 minutes. We tried to do a different take on the vampire legend, no crosses, garlic, sunlight, etc. The "vampires" are infected by a virus, a virus that makes the victim hungry for...what else...blood :)

Just wondering Rich, is that last name French? I live in Louisiana and I know a few "Poches"
Logan,

Yep, its French...You're actually the second person that inquired on my last name...My Dad's side of the family is originally from Louisiana...New Orleans...But I was born and bred in the laid back Bay Area.

Hope the Poche's you know are cool folks, LOL.

..so ..they are essentially a modern traditional zombie? or do they still have all their smarts?

Wow those shots look really good! and the poster is fantastic!! Unfortunately i'm a pansy who cant take horror movies so i'll pass on watching, but it looks like you did a great job!

Neat... I did a rewrite on the script for Daniel some time back, so it's nice to see some shots from the movie. I really like that poster, I think it fits the last version of the script I saw pretty well :).
