Creepy black circle on screen

so today i was doing some filming, id say of what but i would probably get arrested, but i was outside and it was very sunny.
to get to the point. i had the ND filter on 1/8 and there was a fuzzy black circle in the middle of the shot. on the lcd and through the viewfinder also. even when i zoomed in or changed the focus it was still there.
would it be a head cleaning needed?
it wasnt visible if i changed the ND to 1/64 or shut it off.

anyone ?

Hmmmm... This thread brings up a question for me. I know that getting CCD's dirty is a common problem with my digital SLR with lens changing and all. I have also been told that the compact digitals are also prone to contamination because of spaces in zoom barrels. You concerned me with the filter issue. Does the DVX ever have issues with dirt getting into the lens assembly through regular use? The comment "big job" tells me that it is not a common occurance, but I would like to ask just the same.

We've never seen one like that. I worked out the problem from his description, but I have yet to see a camera with that problem. I don't thisk this can happen too often, so you should be safe. Common sense camera care should keep anyone out of trouble.
