HPX250: Creepable zoom via an external zoom controller on the HPX-250?

Is it possible to get a super slow ease in and out zoom w/ the HPX250's via its zoom controller port?
Currently the zoom lever just stops quite abruptly. This really limits the shooting style w/ other cameras.

I know this feature is currently found only on ENG/EFP Canon & Fujinon lenses.
Trying to do a manual zoom in/out on the HPX250 is a futile attempt as
the speed is never consistence vs servo motors.
 
Yes it is possible, but oddly, some controllers work better than others. For me, Varizoom was unacceptable, Zoe was OK, and Manfratto had an active controlled model which was great,... but no longer available.
 
You can also make your own controller it's just two components to control zoom and a 2.5mm plug....Take a look on the HMC forum at the remote sticky...I would say all the cams are much the same and that controller seems to work on all of them...just use a smaller potentiometer and your zoom will creep very slowly!!! Mine works on the HPX, all HMC's and even the AC130/160
