Credit rule

The credit rule says: there's at least one frame of the complete credits must appear at the end of the film.

What does that mean exactly? Does a rolling credit still qualify?

I guess that's what confuses me.. it was my first time enter so if I sound dumb, please forgive me.

I know at least one frame but does that frame has to show a "complete" credit? as my scrolling credit rolls... am I going to be ok?

I'm pretty sure it means you must have some sort of credits at the end; no specific length or how many people are in your credits, just as long as you show them.

if your credits are shorter than 1 frame those are some damn fast rolling credits. I'm sure your fine. Damn you must have a huge crew to need credits that roll.

I guess I don't understand how one could have less than a frame of credit, no matter how small or big your crew is.

The idea is that in the past people have wanted to put credits on their films, but did not want to eat into the 6 min time limit to do it. So some had tacked a single frame with all credits onto the end of their film, so instead of going black, the film freezes on the credits. That's what they mean by at least one frame.
 
here's a funny thing: my credits were rolling by so fast in a 6 second time frame, so i added in last year's leader... and didn't realise that I had set my limit to 6 minutes with the leader in.. so i had 10 seconds left over after trimming all the fat.

so i went from light speed credits to the right speed...
 
Mark's got it right, and I noticed several used this in the last fest. Instead of using up time to roll credits and fading to black, all the credits are fit to one page and the viewer (QT, WMP) just freezes at the last frame and holds that so you have time to actually read them. I'll probably do this in the future.

IIRC, this issue came up because of a discussion last time about giving proper credits, as some did not due to the time limit.
