Creative Cursing

The TV censored version of Repo Man is hilarious--

Motherf&^&!r became "mellon-farmer", and they used "flip-you" alot.

Snakes on a Plane, for TV: Samuel L. Jackson says "Enough is enough! I want these monkeyfighting snakes off this monday-to-friday plane!"

We have alot of city and community support for our film, and while it IS a horror film.. so there is still a certain amount of vulgarity and violence that we can't really go without. I have tried to come up with a way to make it as family friendly as a horror movie can possibly be.. so I've tried to devise words that aren't curse words.. but are more humorous without being a curse word..

for example...

an old crusty sheriff's deputy calls a bunch of loitering college kids.. "Clown Peckers"

To go a little off topic here...

Jackie Brown was by far the absolute funniest movie EVER to watch editd for TV.

First of all, as you can imagine, a lot of the lines are dumbed down and funny.

The best part, though, is that Robert DeNiro's character is basically edited out completely from the film!! When he shows up at the last part its as if he appeared out of nowhere. If you ever see Jackie Brown edited for TV in the listings, WATCH IT! It's fraggin hillarious.

while it's more gibberish than cursing, Daniel Stern and Joe Pesci's characters in Home Alone (1 & 2) use a form of family friendly curse words throughout the films. also, it's holiday season so you won't feel odd watching them for research :P
