Hello,
I'm trying to create different video files that I can throw onto a P2 card, load into my 170, and play back on the LCD and my external monitor that will show me guides for different aspect ratios that I can use to tape off/mark for production.
How I'm going about doing that is essentially using a white frame with black bars for the respective aspect ratios.
I'm getting confused.
Both Photoshop and Premiere are listing the 1080 resolution for DVCPROHD as 1280x1080, but I thought it was supposed to create a 1920x1080 image. This 1280x1080 measurement (which isn't 16:9) is messing up my conversions to tighter aspect ratios. How do I correct for this, or am I missing something (I feel like this is the case).
And also, as for proper 1920x1080 resolution, are the following measurements for aspect ratio conversion correct?
1.78:1 - Full 16x9, 1920x1080
1.85:1 - 1920x1038
2.39:1 - 1920x803
Thanks so much!
