Crash zoom with the DVX?

Is it possible to do a crash zoom with the dvx? (In other words, can I zoom manually without using the buttons?)
 
Will do. I had skimmed through most of it but didn't happen to see it and I don't have the manual in front of me at the moment. Thanks!
 
Pop it out of Servo and into Manual and you're good to go. It's that giant switch on the side of the lens.

Turn ZOOM (on the lower front of the camera) to MANU and zoom away using the zoom ring.
 
gary, seriously read the book. you have been asking the most basic questions possible. you really need to read the book before you break your camera. the thread about trying to remove the plate to screw on a uv filter made me cringe......

Does the book actually tell you how to put filters on?
