We shot and posted these 3 spots in 3 days last week. We created these spec spots for the Doritos Crash the superbowl contest.

[FONT=&quot]I have to be honest "Finger Licking" is just a little to close for comfort. All the close-ups are very unattractive and it doesn't make me want to eat Doritos. I mean you see their pimples, hair growth, slimy lips and mouth, etc. None of them look like their enjoying what they are eating with the exception of one or two. You have multiple shots of broken chips being eaten, not a good idea, it's important that every Doritos chip is "golden" or perfect. That is HUGELY important when your trying to sell a food product and especially since the shots are so close. No one wants to see broken pieces of Doritos, it's very unappealing.

It would work much better if we are seeing peoples faces and their reaction to eating the chips, with the close-ups you don't know whether they like them or not. One of the last shots of the guy pouring broken chips into his mouth makes it look as if he's gotten the bag out of the dumpster.

The same goes with the "Ultimate Vehicle" the plate spins and you see a pile of broken Doritos and then it progressively gets more and more broken and unappealing. Good idea though, it works, just make sure every chip on that plate is a "Hero" chip or close to perfect chip. Sorry to be so harsh, but that's how it all looks, don't know if anyone else agrees. I wouldn't say "finger licking" is a little to close for comfort. I'd say it's waaaay to close for comfort. We pulled in about dozen models to do a feel good, diverse piece, all the politically correct stuff. Ya, that went out the window real quick... In the end we just went for the in your face, moderately disturbing pieces. It was just more fun for us to put it together and have a good laugh.

The ultimate vehicle piece was something we did as an afterthought really. We found out about the contest on Wed. We can up with the "America's snack" idea and the "Finger Licking" that night but couldn't get models in untill friday and Saturday. So Thursday we set up a bag in the studio and tried to make it look sexy. I was happy with how the HVX performed in the dark studio on this one. The shots of the bag really look sexy in 1080 in the edit bay. The end result was the "Ultimate Vehicle" spot.

Our go to spot was the "America's Snack" piece. We shot this Saturday afternoon and had it cut that night.

All in all it was a fun exercise for everyone involved. Thanks for your comments and I hoped you enjoyed them.
