FS7: Crappy sony cameras 59.97 or 60?

Ive just shot some Broll for a blogger who shoots 60p on his little sony smaller than an a7 (nice!)

So do I need to retime my material to 60 from 59.97 to make it fit his timeline?

No, you don't; the a7 cameras definitely shoot 59.94p.

There are very few cameras in the world which shoot an even 60 fps.

Thanks for this.

My wonderful GH4 has 59 in the menue and 60 on the master screen.!

Im going for a 59 timeline.. I hope this works :)

It will work for sure...you can also check the specs of the footage to alleviate your concerns.

99% of cameras in the world list 24p, 30p and 60p in their specs, menus and marketing, but only a few shoot the whole numbers.

My FS7 footage (and gh4) will be cut into a larger project. Ive not got access to that footage.

Ive basically got to deliver a 15s intro that will be thrown on the front of stuff (that might not even be shot yet)

You'll be good either way.

On a side note, I have mixed 60p footage (not for slow-motion) in a 24p timeline hundreds of times and no one has ever noticed a difference.
