If you want to see great acting, check out Burl Ives in "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof". What a great performance...
now there's a great actor nobody mention wow incredible. when he plays the hick dad in many movies that he was in, he just blew me away:thumbsup:

I have a collection of folk sings he did in the WAYYYY Back. I love Burl...but he does always make me think of "Fro--sty the Snow-man..."

WORD! what a heaping pile of dog ****.

Over 40? You mean under 40, right?

I'm over 40...but under 50...and I just barely remember her....and it's probably a memory of a TV commercial. :(

You've all forgotten

You've all forgotten

You know who is the best frigging actor????

BEA ARTHUR!!!!

And yes, queen latifah annoys me. Especially with her boxing-ring commercial about magic lash. Ugh......shiver......

actually she kinda reminds me of PEARL BAILY does anyone over 40 know who i'm talking about
Yea, I remember Pearl. She did the voice over for the owl (Big Mama) on Disney's "Fox and the Hound" and I seem to recall her being a regular on Match Game or Hollywood Squares (the good one with Peter Marshall and Paul Lynde). Anyway I rembeiember her. She was funny.

Willem Defoe in Boondock Saints makes ALL other actors look like punks!

I like that movie. It's not perfect, but some of the editing and directorial choices are good. I especially like the scene where defoe is reenacting the shooting spree as it's happening. Plus, it has Ron Jeremy AND Billy Connolly.

I saw a DVD doc that I should have bought. It was by a disgruntled guy who rips Troy Duffy a new one for how he treated everyone making that film. Haven't been able to find it since.

Okay...beat this one: Steven Seagal. It don't get much worse. Even Ben Affleck could give Seagal a few pointers.

I had the chance to see Keanu Reeves on set not too long ago -
and I have to say I was impressed with the amount of care and energy he put into his performance.
He definitely takes his craft seriously.

Keanu has always been one of those guys that I really enjoy watching. He hasn't had a great deal of incredible performances, but he has had plenty of good ones, and some even better ones. I've heard over and over that he really works hard and commits himself to what he does. That is something that is ALWAYS appreciated.
