Crane/Jib Bag

Hey, after purchasing a ProAm 8' Jib (I am extremely happy with it!), I am in search of a bag to hold it safely. ProAm sells a bag for the jib, but it doesn't seem to be worth the cost. $60 for a regular nylon bag?

Does anyone have a suggestion where to find a bag for a reasonable price, or if more, is at least worth the cost? It needs to be around 50 inches in length (the 2 metal jib pieces are 49") and have a diameter large enough to support both metal pieces (6 inches at least). The closest I've found was a 52" nylon duffle bag from an army surplus store for $35. The problem with that was it had a huge ~20" diameter!

Thanks!

OK, here's another one, bigger and cheaper: Gator Speaker Stand Bag with Two Compartments (GPA-SPKSTDBG-58DLX)

btw. one of the reviews states the following:

"I use this to carry my Pro-Am jib and tripod. A year ago I ordered the Pro-Am jib bag for over twice the price. I wish I would have searched harder back then. I mainly use this one to carry a 4ft. jib, tripod legs, cables, motorized head and monitor. all fit easily.I love having the separate pockets to keep thing from getting scratched in transport."

I think it would be hard to find something more perfectly fitted to answer your question than this :)

Dang guys, you are the best! I couldn't find many video/photo sites, so I was mostly searching through generic bag sites. It was terrible.

Thanks again for your help! I'll be more diligent before asking next time.

I was just having a bit of fun with you. Don't let that stop you from asking again. That's what the forum is for.

Just a little while ago I asked for help about installing batteries for a piece of equipment. Someone was kind enough to give me the answer without any snarky remarks even thought the answer was THE FIRST PIECE OF INFORMATION in the quick start guide. I sure felt stupid.

Yep, that's the one from my second link, and it is also available for the same price from B&H. On Amazon, it's free shipping for orders over $35 and on B&H it's free shipping on orders over $49 - but B&H shipping is expedited (4 days) and also while Amazon collects taxes in most states, B&H does not. You might add something from B&H (or Amazon) that you'd have bought anyway, to bring the whole order to over $35 or $49 depending whom you go with. Good luck!

Thanks! I plan on ordering from both sites within the week, so it's good to know both can supply the bag.
