Agreed, 100%, I was reffering to the post about throwing out copy/credit posts for help. But yeah, you're right, that was pretty bad. :)

I love how this guy thinks he will be able to hire four CG artists for free to work for a film company in New Munster, WI, and he'll even be able to CHOOSE among them based on how quickly they can jump up and help him. Plus he wants FIVE editors and FIVE cameras with operators for FREE? Maybe if he asks his five buddies to record it on their cell phones.

On their site they also call themselves the "most anticipated horror film of the year" and they also state that "the midwest in general will benefit."

...and then I looked at their footage.

Looking for someone to direct our short film. It's a great script, and we want to submit it to some festivals, which could get us some recognition. Therefore we are looking for a director that brings not only a creative style, but has significant experience, that is, at least 10 years directing projects and preferably some awards (an Emmy or an Oscar would go a long way). Oh and we'd also like you to help re-write the script, and bring us an experienced DP as well.

Looking to start pre-production by the end of the month, and shoot in November, so this would require about a four week commitment from you.

No pay.

So you guys got my ad. Hope you can show proof of you Oscars & Emmys award wins. All applicants must have 2 Oscar or Emmy wins to there credit. No exceptions. No Tony award winning director need apply. As long as you all remember that you need me more then I need you we'll do just fine. And BTW, I will be also acting in this film as the lead so that should make your job alot easier. Haven't acted since Jr High School but my mom says I'm a natural.:Drogar-Dum(DBG):

The "disclaimer" at the bottom of their site doesn't help them much either:

Exquisitely bad. One can only imagine the clusterf*uck that would ensue if they did manage to find five (5!) camera operators for the 27th. I see they want five editors as well. I suppose they've got five key grips, five first unit managers, and five transportation supervisors. For those of you that live near Kenosha, perhaps you could be one of the five audience members once they finish.

The p.s. was so I could figure out what is actually going through his brain. The $15,000 was so he would definitely respond. The rest was for personal amusement. By the way the subject was Your film!!.
