Coverting Pal to NTSC

Hi
I'm a newbie and I need to capture some PAL tapes shot in asia onto my computer. I found out that the Panasonic DVX won't play these tapes - so what's the best way?

Hello,

You have to find a DV deck that is able to playback PAL tapes. It can also be a PAL camera.

I'm pretty sure you can use any minidv camera as the tapes have already been recorded, but you should run a tape head cleaner in the camera before putting the tapes in to help clean them since there are different types of minidv tapes that could leave residue on the heads.

Then if you need to convert Pal to Ntsc use a program like DVFilm Atlantis to do so.
