I do work with real people, no really I do.

My wife let me play with her Marionettes tonight, so I did a little short with my new AF100.

This H.264 compression looks terrible compared to the original file. Oh well.

Hey thanks for that (made me smile at 2:20 in the morning).
Those Marionettes are stunning--I've never seen anything like that . . . close enough to see that well.
Nice going.

Her Marionettes are very nice. That's all I'll say.

BTW, what are you guys doing up so late? Geez.

Those are really great looking dolls! Write up a short script and have a few voice actors dub in dialogue you'll have a very credible and fun little movie... given the story's good--you already know that.

Might do a 10 min short with puppets, à la American Justice/Cold Case Files (crime doc). I was waiting to get the camera to see how easy it would be to run and gun, given the form factor. It's more conspicuous obviously, but could be fun and worth the risk.

I had two 40W lights, a few color gels and a dark basement to work with.

I wanted to test out ISO 640 for noise.

Thanks, Papa, it was really just to look at ISO 640.

I've got a couple more tests to do this month, looking at other camera features/parameters.

Lots of fun, this camera.

Very cool puppets, image quality looked great. I agree, you gotta write a script for these puppets. They are too good not use.

I know, they are pretty cool. We have some great backgrounds/sets to use also. Just another project on the docket... Sigh.

Did a quick set up with two lights and bounce card

KEY, to right of camera (very close to puppets)
BACK LIGHT, behind and to left of puppets - this also had color gel for back wall, while light spilling out on the side acted as BACK LIGHT
FILL via white card bounced (set up left of camera)

Dog scene had overhead basement lights as well

Hey kylekmd, Nice Work!

I was wondering, did the "Push Auto" focus button work with the Zuiko 12-60mm on the AF100 by any chance?

I have to admit, I've never tried to PUSH AF with any of my OLY ZUIKOS. I'm so used to MF. I'll try it tonight, but based on the lens compatibility chart

http://panasonic.jp/support/global/cs/dsc/connect/g1.html

I would say, no.

However, the lens does communicate with the camera (Fstop, distance, etc.) and auto-exposure works, to get you in the ballpark.
