Hi guys...this is my first time really venturing in the gh1/gh2 section as a 7d user (and dvx)...but i'd just like to know a couple things. The gh2 seems promising...but my concerns are more audio related. I'm pretty satisfied with my 7d for visual stuff i have to work on, but for things like documentaries and more run and gun type things i still use my dvx, cuz of the xlr imputs in cam and decent audio.
I know i can do double system sound but i'd rather reserve that for films ( with 7d) and stuff i have much more control over, also i shoot and deliver stuff for these docs/promos so i'd rather have the audio in camera already in those situations.
1. Does the gh2 suffer from AGC?
2. Can u see the levels of the channels displayed in cam?
3. is audio monitoring(headphones) a possibilty?
4. What are the options for recording to cam with an XLR..juicedlink...beachtech?
I'm looking to this option over the AF100 as i'm trying to get some other gear and lights and i dont think i'll have $ for that. (lighting and lenses trumps new cameras)
I'm sure this hasd been spken about already so u can point me in the right direction pls
