Counter Reset Question

I have the 170, i cant seem to figure out the counter reset button, i was under the impression that it reset the TC or whichever Counter you use, to the preset. But mine does nothing when pressed. I'm in TC mode on REC RUN, and my preset is 01:00:00:00. What have I done wrong here, is it just a setting issue?

It only resets the counter when you're in the TC PRESET menu item.

ok, thanks that makes sence, it would be nice if you could hold it for a few seconds and reset it out of the menu though. Thanks for the speedy response!
