Hey everyone I was looking through the list of authorized and non authorized dealers but didnt come across WWW.USAPHOTONATION.COM there prices are low and they accept both credit cards and western union. I have called them because I like to hear the background to see if there are more then a few people talking. They also said that the 100b comes with a 1year warrenty, 90 days for labor and 1 year for parts. I have read a few things about scammers that only provide western union, however they accept both so I am unsure. If anyone knows anything about this company please let me know! Thank you

I'd HIGHLY suggest checking this business out on the Better Business Bureau's website:
http://www.bbb.org

this is what the say about WWW.USAPHOTONATION.COM :

"Based on BBB files, this business has an unsatisfactory record with the Bureau because it failed to respond to one or more complaints."

it's more & likely Grey Market (no US warranty) & it doesn't come with any accessories (ie. remote, on camera mic holder, etc)

so buyer beware!

If you think it might be scam, chances are, it is.

If someone is offering a price more than 3% lower than B&H, then it's almost certainly a scam.

WWW.USAPHOTONATION.COM is my worst experience. While on site it clearly states US warranty ald lists everything down to DVX book what you're getting is a grey market camera, though with all accesories down to the mic holder. But befor yoe're tricked on that you have to pay a lot for s/h and hardly pressed to purchace a bunch of cr*p. DON'T SHOP THERE. No matter how attrsctive it may look, you'll regret later:(

rebate does not apply because it's not a US unit, u will get a canadian camera, if u get anything at all, trying to get your money back is gonna b a major pain.

The warranty is only offered in the country of origin. So if product is gray market, the warranty is not in the US, it may be in Japan, or Canada, or Panama, or somewhere else. Buy from an authorized dealer and be happy.

The rebate, and the free goodies are only available on US product.

Best,

Jan

Don't do it... the camera will be shipped from china and take 2 months to be delivered + no usa warranty - they had/have a scam to sell a dvx firmware upgrade (which is not even possible)... I just bought from Beach Camera - they're not an authorized Panasonic dealer but they do provide a usa warranty and the $350 rebate - I checked my serial number with a panasonic rep. (final total cost $2800 - no tax and free shipping) - the panasonic rep did say they've "had problems" with Beach though.

A long time ago, I ordered a 4x4 DV Shade from Adorama.com it was way lower in price than all the other sites, and they completely screwed up my order and sent me a 3x3 instead, When I called to fix it, they didn't know the difference between a 4x4 and 3x3, and it took me several weeks to just get it returned and off of my credit card...

I now shop at www.evsonline.com, much smoother buying experience

Sometimes the lower the price the WORSE buying experience you will have

Yep, go with a legitimate dealer.

Even thought the price looks good, it works out horrible with those places in the end.

I bought my camera through Beach in September and had no problems. Got my rebate ($500.00 at the time) as well as my free battery, tapes, Barry's book and Magic Bullet. A friend also bought her camera through them and had no problems. But I only bought through them after considerable research and rather agonizing contemplation (as I would do with any major purchase).

Funny how so many questionable companies start with "AAA" or "USA". I gladly paid the "going rate" at B&H. My DVX arrived in 4 days with warranty. The rebate $ and goods followed shortly after. It will take more time and effert to attempt to settle things out with a scumbag company than it will to find a way to make a little extra cash to buy it form B&H, EVS, or the other reputable dealers. My advice... don't do it.

Yeah, something is fishy there. Notice how the big item prices are very low, and the incidental accessories are priced ridiculously high. Stay away.
