GH4 Could Panasonic go full frame with the same mount?

This is just a curiousity of mine and I'm hoping someone here is technical enough to answer it.

If Panasonic and Olympus wanted to, could they introduce a full frame 36x24mm sensor into a camera body that uses the same m4/3 lens mount and flange to focal distance? Along with of course lenses that can cover that larger sensor but also the ability to window that sensor to a m4/3 mode for the standard m4/3 lenses.

Wikipedia says that the diameter of the mount is 38mm, while the diameter of 135 is 43.25mm. So if it's as simple as that, then the mount is too small.

The Micro Four Thirds mount seems big enough, though, for Super 35, since it is 28.55mm in diameter. JVC showed exactly that at NAB. Then, with a Speedbooster, you could go from S35 to 135.

After a little research I found this. The M39 mount. Which is 39mm in diameter, only 1mm greater than the Micro Four Thirds mount. It was used for 35mm rangefinder cameras. Could 1mm make that much of a difference?

EDIT: There is also an old M37 mount which seems to be 37mm but also covers 35mm film.

No, just no. I really don't want to see this "full-frame" rubbish going on in here, because it always leads to wild speculation and all kinds of gear wanking.
