could be impossible?

I have a close up where you can see a really bright light in the persons eyes from one of the lights used on him. it was a fast job and I had barely anytime to fix it. How can I get this fixed in post? Its just a tiny hot spot on his eyes.

Reshoot the scene. Whole thing.

Nah, ryan's right. Just keyframe a 4 point mask. Crush all color from it. Feather, just for kicks.

Is it really that big of a deal- most DP's insist on some sort of reflected eyelight on all close ups.

I wouldnt bother correcting that...eye light is a good thing!!!!

It depends... like everything else... I do find it interesting that someone wants to remove the kicker light from the eyes... given many of the short films presented here, most of the lighting results in people's eyes looking like black sockets...

But on some situations, for some light angles the kicker light may look more 'demonic', or distracting... so with out the example, I don't know what the effect would be.

Yeah I think im going to leave it. It was a very rushed shoot and I only had one light to light the interview along with the house lights so I didnt take time to fix that.
