Costco changes electronics return policy.

Costco is tightening their famously generous return policy on electronics. It's being cut from "infinity" to 90 days.

Recently they've been selling the DVX100b on costco.com, but I don't see it at present.

I'm guilty as charged, but I would only return 1 out of 40 items if need be. I bought EVERYTHING at Costco - just in case something happened - especially electronics. I just bought a new Sony Notebook last week and I DIDN'T buy it at Costco because of the new return policy and I saved $150 elsewhere. In the past I would have taken the hit for the return policy.

It will be interesting to see how this new return policy effects the bottom line if other people are like me "Mr. Costco."

I heard that Costco is also extending the warranties on these items to two years.

Yeah, I was in Costco yesterday. They are now stating that they extend the warranty on any TV or PC one full year beyond the (typically one-year) factory warranty. So if you buy a PC or TV there, you'll get 2 years of coverage.

This seems fair, and still provides a nice incentive to buy electronics from Costco.
