Hey folks, it's been a while since I last posted anything but I've been busy. I (fairly) recently produced, directed, shot, cut, etc a miniseries that played on BYU's Jumbotron during their #14 ranking 2007 Football season. The whole series was done with an HVX with the help of a Century Optics Wide Adapter and Cut and Posted on the Final Cut Pro Suite with the help of the Adobe Creative Suite.
The series revolves around the school's mascot Cosmo and a group of international baddies who set into action an international kidnapping plot. These would air during the 3rd quarter break, and the reaction was great! Every time they would come one, the whole place would just get silent. It's eerily cool to hear 65,000 people get quiet all at once.
The whole shebang, (Steve Young, a former Miss Utah, Explosions, Ford GT and Apache Helicopters) was put together for just under $8,000. Props to the volunteer cast and crew.
I hope you guys like what we've put together. There's a ton of shout outs and homages to Edgar Wright's (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz) crew, just because we love them so much.
P.S. Admittedly Episode 01 is kinda skimpy on the plot, but from Eps 2 and on, it's fast, funny, and furious. (I promise!)
Grabs:
Streaming on Vimeo:
Cosmo Reloaded Album (Whole Series)
Quicktime:

And if you feel so inclined:
Extended Edition DVD with nearly an hour of additional content!
DVXUser Rocks! Thanks for the love (or hate?) guys!
