****UPDATE

Here is a link to some pics and to a quick video I just took showing it's functunality (terrible video, just had it on my lap and took a minute and a half to show that everything worked)

I was driving back from MA with a friend when he hit a guard rail sending a lot of my equipment out the trunk. My Powerbook G4 got destroyed, but luckily that was insured. My VX2100 was not.

If you're into skating or filming anything that might involve some high risk to your camera, then this camera will be perfect!

Amazingly enough it is still fully functional. I have used it to film at least 6 shows since the accident (backup live concert angle) and it works great! The manual focus and zoom works, as well as the ND filters and white balance. I would keep this to use as a backup or transfer cam but I need some money so I'll give this a shot.

The camera will come with 2 batteries (one is the huge long life batt), the original manual, a firewire cable, the remote, and anything else I can find for it laying around. The eye cup is somewhere on I-90 as well as a few other peices, and the front lens attatchment got a huge chunk taken out of it. The Lens hood is securely on thanks to some duct tape since one of the clips broke.

When I called a camera shop in NH for an estimate they told me changing all the CCD's and internals would run about $500 including labor, then around another $100 for the cracked casing near the focus ring. So even if you rebuilt this camera, you'd still be making out pretty well!

If you interested e-mail me for pics, I will also shoot some video showing the camera's functionality that I will upload onto my website for anyone interested!

Thanks,

Matthew

other then that casing I don't think anything would need to be replaced.
