All brand new COS-11's are D's. Stands for 'Digital'. Slight improvements made, as with any product that comes out year after year. Some people might think a COS-11 too 'hot' for their particular wireless system. Sound houses will add resistors in the plug to attenuate it. Most people actually prefer a straight wire mic like the one here for sale, and to simply turn down the gain themselves.
