I have a clip which is corrupt. I lost power and not realizing the further damage that could be done, put the card into my Mac without protection engaged. What can I do to fix the clip? Is there a specialist or data recovery company that it can be sent to who would know what they are doing? This is for legal work, so cost is less of a concern than the ability to recover the video.

Is the clip still on the P2 card? I mean if you downloaded it to your laptop Ok - but did you erase or format the card?
If the card is still in the original state, put it back in the camera
Bring up the clip viewer / playback window
Highlight the corrupt clip
In the menu choose Repair Clip
It should then be OK. This happens whenever power goes down and you need to repair before you erase / or format...

Try http://www.drivesaversdatarecovery.com/ I hear they are the best. Not sure they do P2 but worth a check, not cheap but all the major music studios use them here in Nashville.
