Corresponding formats?

This is the list of formats that come up when starting a new project in AVID.

So far I can only get my camera (HVX200) to record to hard drive in "720p/23.976" and my camera is set to 720p/30p.

I am confused at the different settings on the Avid format settings and the camera, such as the 1080i/30p on the camera. Which one is that on the Avid? None of them are exact. Is there something wrong or what? I don't know how they correspond.

Any help is very appreciated.

OK, as I look around and read a little more in the manual; are these project formats

the desired output/capture formats and the camera settings differ because it records in different quantities of frames to accomplish the desired out put?
Sorry for the newby vocabulary. I promise I'll get this all one day and help other newbies!
