Adam C, just to go back a little bit, I think there's something i missed. You said you only had about 1Tb worth footage is that correct? Which codec did you use for the major part (apart from slowmos)? I expected something that would be a little more that just 1Tb, maybe 2 at least. Does that mean with 2 cameras you had to shoot only a handful of takes to compensate for drive space?

Maybe there's something am learning here, though am not ordering for a second camera soon, might rent one instead.

Good luck with the colorists and the composer, you had this rare blessing of always getting the right people, perhaps its because you're good at bargaining, which am so sympathetic to do, i don't know how to bargain!

finally, just one more request. Will you be kind enough to show us just one frame of your cc (before and after) plus maybe some recipe if your colorist may accept. Thanks

Is it possible to name who the composer is ?

They are worth their weight in gold, they are few and far between who can really catch a vibe and translate it over into music.

In lieu of anything prescient to speak of since the project is more or less out of my hands now barring a few tweaks, I thought I'd post some stills by our other still photographer, James Laski.

Enjoy!

Adam,

In one of the hallway pics it looks like your focus puller is using a wireless follow focus. Any issues with it? Was it precise? I'm waiting for RedRocks release...

The sound guy is wearing a pair of Sennheiser HD280 Pros... correct !

I dunno - actually that is the boom op Mike Kaleta in all the shots. The actual sound mixer is not in the photos. I do know he had some pretty amazing kit, though, as he should for a high end sound guy.

We used the Bartech for the entire shoot. Even on the sticks! It was very accurate and we had no problems with it. I don't believe they touched my cavision FF the entire shoot. It is very precise after it has been calibrated, which is why they liked it so much.

Yeah, I was growing old waiting for the redrock unit. Still, the bartech is pro quality and works great.

All I have to say is that I was pleased to see your part in HD Video Pro. I told all my video buddies to pick up the issue because it's not only an interesting read. But it's where most of us can see ourselves in the future.

Then I decide to come back to DVX User and ask a few questions about a crane I am buying and I stumble on this thread. Man this has been the most interesting read I have ever come across online. And I must say, thank you for doing this and filling us in on all this great information.

And I can't wait to see your finished product.
