Just back from holland ISE show - did this overnight edit and also shot six product specific videos.

Camera behaved with no menu surprises.

Shot Slog3Custom 2000-4000-8000 and used my dedo Dled 4.1 - the ultimate show floor light.

Edited and graded (lut plus levels) in Resolve on a borrowed laptop.

Camera on my little rig, shotgun mic, miller legs with crappy 'frotto head.

decent skin tones considering the environment, nice work - love working with Dedo tungsten lights, the Dled indeed seems ideal for this kind of work, just trying to justify the big outlay to myself......

The light is great for me as It will go in my sticks bag - unlike any 1.1 panels - that is basically why I bought it.

you can also see it picking out the logos in spot mode..

Pretty much market leading Id say.. at a price.

The 1.5 in 4k size is impressive being almost cinema size but you can walk in to maybe 2m and still enjoy the image.

Kind of made me rethink the 'no need for 4k' thing - certainly for corporate (read fashion) work.

Viewing angle is good and reflections pretty minimal.

I think they might be a NAB if you go there

The last time I checked 6-8 months ago, a 1x1M 1.9mm square was around $8,000 (I think it was from Leyard). Larger pixel screens are obviously more affordable, down to about $1,000 per 1x1M. It'd be interesting to see them come down enough to equip a movie theater. Right now, the multiple projector stacking or blending is the way to go.

By the way, your clip is also on YouTube.

Nice Sam. Those 'events' conditions are never really conducive to making pretty pictures but everyone looked good in it.

Thanks for watching - if it looks OK that is no accident - the DHLH4, diffusion and a 10bit codec, slog, and a quick grade in Resolve are all planned ingredients to attempt to make this work under pressured conditions of keeping the show floor clean of leads and our airport baggage restrictions.

We were also doing stills and are used to the flexibility of raw and lights (flash) that pack huge punch for the portability - I want to match that.

What other things could I want?

-a way of evaluating colour on the FS7 .. RGB histo.. is there an app for my (iphone4) phone someone could recomend?
-Maybe some filters to lower the Ctemp of the dedo to match to the scene a bit better
-a second dedo - quite pricey once you include more Vlock and break out boxes.. beyond the fixture.

This was shot at 55k, if I had a filter to drop the dedo to 4500 (or whatever the mid SLog switch is) that might help.

I guess this was Slog custom at around 4000ISO - with a thick WFM

You may see the dedo was an excellent accent light on the product titles..

Dont think anyone goes to the footage section but oh well.

Finished my little Shape.Cake video.

As ever Im very happy with the colour on the camera which has so much flex that really the colour is only if you are cr_ap at grading or not.

Incedentally a few of the shots at the end are shot in full daylight and graded down to 'match' the night sequence.
