I'm starting to really launch my business making local commercials now that I have my DVX100B. My question is for anyone who might know from experience.....what are the guidelines for using copyrighted music? I would assume you just can't but I've seen local commercials here using certain TV show theme music. Can it be done if altered in some way?

You can't unless your willing to pay for it...

ha! Or, you could always hire a composer *cough* to score something similar in style to what you are looking for. What type of music are you looking for? I have a whole army of other musicians I've met throughout the years that could probably do anything you needed.
