Copyright Symbols

Forgive me if I'm posting a thread that is already here, but I'm at the end of a project and need the info fast...

In Avid's Title Tool, how can i enter a Copyright symbol of a Trademark symbol?
 
ALT+0169
(Hold down ALT and type 0169 on the numpad)

...or I suppose you could cut and paste this: ©
 
oh, and trademark is usually ALT+0153 which gives you: ™
It really depends on what font you are using though.

Is there a little secret stash of those symbols somewhere?

When I type it in the Title, I'm not getting the symbol. I'm getting the wierdest characters I've ever seen.

i should probably point out that I'm doing this on a G4 iBook.
 
If you're on PC you can look them up on Character Map.

Option 1: Start -> Run then type charmap.exe
Option 2: Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> Character Map

This will show you all possible characters for every font on your system.
