Copying from P2 to HDD

Hey All,

Currently out of the country and I´m trying to copy via HVX and p2 cards to an external hard drive. I run through the settings as described in the manual and in the end I only get the Setup and the Verify line for access. I cant go up or down to access the Copy to HDD, Format HDD or Property lines. Any ideas whats going on? Oh yeah, I´m using a eGo Portable external HDD from Iomega by the way. Thanks in advance for any help.

Oh yeah,

I got the external hard drive hooked up to a laptop for power.
 
UPDATE

Got the procedure to work. The problem was that I had the external powered by a laptop and hooked up via firewire to the hvx at the same time. I had to buy an AC adapter for the external and thus I am now dumping. Thanks Barry for the input.
