Okay, so the HVX will allow miniDV "dubs" to be made of HD clips, including slow mo and 24fps material, correct?
Will these "downconverts" carry the exact same timecode from the HD clips? Will you be able to hightlight a range of clips and copy them over to miniDV or just be able to dump the whole P2 card/cards in one go?
If it does copy timecode, I wonder how it will handle timecode from anything but 29.97 clips...
I realized that the downconverts would be idea for giving to clients to start their offlines while the HD clips are saved for the final edit, but only if the copied timecode is correct...
I also realize probably nobody knows the answer at this point, but I wanted to put it out there for speculation...
