copy entire bin and timeline?

I would like to keep an extended version of an original scene edited in the timeline and then make a copy of that timeline and the supporting raw material in the superbin so that I may re-edit it another way without loosing the original(sorry for the run-on sentence). I don't want to make a copy on a disk, but a copy within the avid editing program. Any help will be much appreciated.

Highlight the sequence within the bi, and do a a "control D" or "command D". This will make a copy of the sequence. Then move it to the bin of your choice.

Or

With sequence in record monitor, go to record side menu (above record monitor where sequence name is) and seelct duplicate. Put it in bin of choice when prompted (if more than ne bin is open).
