copy dvd issue - created by pinnacle v12

Hi,

If there is a different place i should ask this please let me know.

I have just created a wedding dvd using Pinacle Studio V12.1 and cannot make working copies of it using a few utilities, one being retrorecorder, which is great by the way.

The finished product has menu items etc and is 64 minutes.

I have tried creating an ISO from Pinnacle v12.1 as well as from other dvd burn utilities and the result is usually random - some menu dont work, some sections freeze, some sound missing etc.

I am able to always produce a working copy from the master pinnacle project. I can also create ts_video folder content in pinnacle and recreate new copies as long as I use pinnacle to burn.

I need to be able to create an ISO from the finished version and then create a number of copies.

Has anyone successfully done this and can you tell me what product you used that is reliable.

Thanks.

Hi All - This issue is resolved. I persisted and eventually and simply re-rendered the project; re created a new ISO from pinnacle; re ccreated a dvd (worked fine) then used IMGBurn to create another ISO and then burned another working copy from that.

So NOW i have NO problems with the process or product.
Huh?

I did not do anything different the second time through - perhaps something 'bad' happened in the first render and ISO - dunno.

But there you go. Till Next time.

I had Pinnacle version 10 and I used to have render issues all the time. It got so bad I finaly upgraded to Avid Media Composer. (Yes I know pinn. is made by Avid, but Avid works a lot better) My solution was to re render everything prior to output. Also trying to keep mediums the same helps. It does not lke mixing uncompressed avi with mpeg2 and so on. Digitize all your footage int he same format to keep it happy.
