copy 480i to tape?

Hi there. Shot a bunch of stuff on the HVX in SD onto P2, thinking it would be easy to dump to a tape -- but now I realize you can only dub 720 and 1080 to a DV tape! Any thoughts on how to get this to dump to a tape!? I'm really at a loss here!

I've never tried to capture into FCP from my HXV over firewire, but it's not seeming to work. The 'log and capture' setting won't detect any firewire! any thoughts?

You can't copy it over to tape, but ... why would you want to try to capture over firewire? Why not just use Log & Transfer to import the footage directly?

If you really wanted to go through tape, you could play the footage off the HVX and capture the firewire stream on a tape camcorder, but that really seems convoluted when you could just log & transfer the footage off the P2 card directly.
