Hi everybody, here is a little demo piece we shot and put together for our region as a sales short.

We shot 720/30pn and we have fallin in love with the HVX and Variable frame rates.

Here's the link:

You can see it in flash or in quicktime. But the QT version is BEST viewed with firefox, as the h264 file loses color and pedestal in Safari. Don't know why....

Okay, well that's it, love to hear your thoughts....

Beaver, very nice shots.. relaxing... I loved the music too, what's the name of the song? Also, aas that all natural sound, or did you edit sound effects?
Nice work, it looks like the beginning of movies. :)

very crisp colors in this video. nice.

i'm going to be doing a timelapse shot like that for my upcoming short film. would i be able to capture the sun setting off of one 4g p2 card shooting at 720/30pn?

Hi there wawaii!

A lot of the sound effects came right out of soundtrack pro and the other chunk were live.

I'm glad you like the music, we loved it. There are several songs mixed, we purchased rights for it through megatrax.

Hey filmboy!

Absolutely you can do it off one p2 card! We are in post for our fishing show pilot and we had a half dozen timelapses for it that occupied about 2 GB of space when we were out on the river back in April. This cameras just sings on timelapse! :) :) :)

Just remember the key thing is going to be power. If you are doing an all day timelapse, just remember your batteries won't.

hey flash beaver, do you remember about how long it took for the sun to set? how did you get enough power? did you swap out batteries real quick during the timelapse or did you have some kind of power source? also, did you do 2 second intervals on your timelapse or did you do it by frames?

:dankk2:

Dude this is really bad but I can't remember which interval I had it on, I think it was 5 or 10 second intervals. And the sunset was 30 minutes but we were there and almost 90 minutes before recording that getting all our other shots of the bridge and hiking around for the perfect spot. So battery life wasn't an issue.

But filmboy if you keep the camera completely immobile and are fast about switching out batteries you could probably switch, reset and resume with nothing noticeble. Otherwise you might be able to get away with a small honda gen. or a big ass lead battery with a small inverter and plug the panny charger/power adapter right into the camera.

Hope that helps... sorry about not logging my settings. I was a bad beaver, hehe.

:)

Excellent, I enjoyed that alot.

I would try to add a few shots of downtown and the people who live and work there.

Show off!!!!.... that was FANTASTIC. Great shots, great editing great story. What more can I say!

Well actually,
Out of interest what support did you use for the panning shots?
Regards
