Cool "Morph" effect...or not?

Check out this unusual looking morph I just finished. Trying it out for a future music video where one band member morphs out of the body of another band member.

Saw a similar effect done from a guys demo reel out in LA. His was cleaner looking than mine, but this wasn't bad for my first attempt.

Grabbed 2 seperate video clips:
1) Subject falling backwards
2) Subject lunging forward

Took both clips and played around with the liquify effect in AE (stretching out his face & shoulder in opposite directions of his movements, over approximately 15 frames...I should of made it longer)

Anyway, I proceed...I exported both of these shots and brought them back into FCP then applied a 1 second morph between them (got the morph filter here: http://www.chv-plugins.com/morph.html )

I had to go in and tweak the framing to make sure the 2 shots lined up and finally, I keyed out the black background...wasn't too clean. I would use a true green screen if I tried this again OR make sure the room is completely dark.

Jason!! looks cool. I think if shot with a fisheye and at a lower angle it could be quite effective. especially with the fire in the background! It will be worth it to at least have the artists filmed to attempt the effect!!!
