Cool Little DVX Checklist

Hey Folks,

I created a handy dandy pocket-sized DVX related check list for shoots. It's self-explanatory.

I like to print it on glossy photo paper and "laminate" it with packaging tape.

There have been too many times when I've forgotten to focus, white balance, etc.. And, YES!!!, even forgotten to hit record - that's the absolute worst...

Enjoy!

There is no "Exposure Lock" switch or button, rather, you simply choose manual iris with the iris button and use the dial to adjust the iris.

The bottom was helpful. My DVX DVD got really scratched so I can't go back to it for reference and I had forgotten what some of the gamma settings did...

Great little checklist.
You might consider adding the word "Noise" to the description of Cine-gamma.
Others have reported that issue some time ago and I have also found that to be the case. Not nearly as bad as D or V though. The cleanest seems to be "Norm".

On smaller 1/3" cams like the DVX diffraction really starts to occur at around f5.6, so saying that the optimal sharpness is between 2.8 and 14 is a little misleading.

well he's goin off of the dvx book by barry green where they tested the crap out of the dvx...so i;d stick with that.
