Up For Sale is a Cool Lights Lighting Kit, these are fluorescent lights very similar to Kino Flo. They seem to be pretty well liked in the video community. The customer service at Cool Lights is also exceptional. For more info on Cool Lights -www.coollights.biz

I originally bought these lights a couple years ago for over $1,600 plus shipping. The Case they are kept in cost an additional $100. Value of the whole package is over $1700. Asking Price is $1200.

They have some wear and tear and cosmetic damage but are completely functional and in good working condition. A Few things of note. One of the fasteners (The tightening screw) on the one of the mounts needs to be replaced as it seems to be stripped. This should be an easy fix though. I am also missing one thumb screw on one of the baby stand adapters, also a cheap replacement is easy to get. Also one of the power cables a short one, the rest are long.

I am selling these because I have recently upgraded to Kino Flo Divas.

The case is nothing special. Just a rolling speaker bag but it fits all the lights and accessories nicely. I'll take a picture and post by tomorrow morning.
 
Just curious, why did you "upgrade " to Divas. In what way were they better? Are these the non-dimmer versions?
Presumably you could have upgraded to cool lights with dimmers instead. I'm curious about the differences . I would need the dimmers tho.

Just a couple downfalls I ran into with the Cool Lights. For the price it's hard to complain and everywhere I read online people seem to love them. I feel like the Diva's have a superior build quality to them, added dimmers and bank switchable (at least two or four). Nice complete organized kit that I found for a good deal with the awesome case and included stands. But honestly my biggest gripe with the Cool Lights are the mounts, I'm sure someone could rig something more solid pretty easily. It's slightly slower to get them up because you have the four screws to mount them but the lights seemed to be too much weight for the mounts as even with the dimpled ball mount, the lights would still slip a lot of the time. I would mount vertically most of the time and rest on the edge of the ball mount so not too much pressure was on it and that worked great. The bulbs also tend to slip out during transport sometime and the eggcrates can only go on with the barndoors all the way open. Light Output and Value for the price though, they are fantastic. They served me very very well over the last couple years and Cool Lights Customer Service was always spot on.


Here are the requested case pictures. I'd keep accessories and mounts in the brown box on the side and lights fit perfectly where those white bulb cases currently are.

Thanks for the honest response. I've been wanting the 6 light dimmable because I like the size for a softer key, but they don't make a case for it and I haven't been able to find anything appropriate. Thanks for the heads up on the mount though as that might be worse with the 6 light.
