Convince me- Why the DVX?

The camera you're using now, the GL2 is no slouch either. I'd say the images coming out of that camera is just as good as the DVX (maybe not quite, but very close). The 24p cadence and the beautiful cinegamma make the DVX better. But imagewise, they are both good and the DVX definitely has mojo. If you want to take an even bigger jump (like closer to S/16mm type images) then the HD100, HVX and H1 would be something to consider.

ive used a GL2.... they are not een close to he Xl2 DVX class of cmaera. they look similar in even lighting, but once the light get pushed, bright or dark, the 1/3 ccd's really make the difference.

You are a film student. If you get the DVX, this place becomes your online film school, open 24/7. The wealth of resources and talent on DVXUser is extensive. Whenever you have a question, you can find answers here. You will maximize your expertise with the camera, and learn to wring out the best possible image.

I made this decision about a year ago. Went DVX and never looked back.
