Other: Convince me not to buy Sigma SA lenses to adapt

Since the L MOUNT ALLIANCE!!!!!!! is taking over all things PanaSigmaLeica, it is a foregone conclusion that the SA mount will officially be killed in the near future...

BUT...

There's still an abundance of SA-mount Art glass (and the accompanying MC-11 mounts) on clearance, many at steep discounts.

I'm pretty solidly E-mount at this point, aside from a number of Nikon-mount lenses still hanging around.

Would it be thoroughly stupid to toss a bunch of dough at lenses made for a sunsetting mount system (cough43cough)? I mean, when the price of some Art lenses plus the clearance MC-11(SA) is LESS than just the EF version alone... it's compelling. But seems... stupid, somehow.

So... tell me I'm stupid, please. Or don't, because I've been told I don't take criticism well (but all those people are jerks).

Thanks

Depends on how big of a discount, right? If, say, 75% off, then worth it. But iffy at 30% off.

Resale on them is probably going to suck if you try to sell them down the road.

But for me, it’s really the whole suspect compatibility of adapting electronics from one mount to a different one that kills it.

I’d say buy the right tool, whatever that ends up being.
