Converting to avi

I'm preparing to submit a project for a contest. It requires that I submit my piece in avi format (it's going to be posted on YouTube). I'm using a hvx200a, P2, 720/24pN, and FCP. I know that avi is Windows and that FCP files are QT.
Is it possible to convert my finished product into an avi file?
 
is a multimedia container format, not a codec. If this is to be posted on youtube, then ask the sponsor if you can provide a simple h.264 file encoded to youtube's specifications.
 
Then determine what codec that want used for the AVI file.

Because there are several.

Also suggest that if they are PC based, that h.264 is supported on a PC using the free QT player download.
 
Looking at the contest rules they want it in a "raw avi" format. Will I still need to ask what codec to use?
