GH5 converting internal 10 bit 422 clips

I just got my GH5 and the images are wonderful. I shot an event this past week and most will not play smoothly in Quicktime for mac. I downloaded edit ready demo and Kyno. The files play fine in Kyno, but after converting to ProRes 422, they stutter very badly in Quicktime or anything else I try to play them in. Any suggestions...what working for you guys?

First, what hard drive are you playing it off of? You need at least a USB 3 drive to play Prores smoothly, preferably one that spins 7200rpm, as it has a fairly high bitrate, especially if you transcode to 4k resolution. Or a similar internal drive. Also need a graphics card that can handle it. I downloaded some 10 bit files from the GH5 and while they wouldn't play in quicktime, they played fine in FCP X. The 10 bit h.264 files not playing nice with Quicktime and other programs is a known issue.

Thank for the feedback. I was only having issues with playback in quicktime. Kyno and FCPX play the files fine. The HD is a USB 3 and plays GH4 Prores 422HQ files recorded on the Atomos Flame fine.
