Quick question. Im just starting to use the cannon 5D so this may seem like a really dumb question but can anyone tell me what are the advantages of converting from 30p to 25p? when using the cannon 5D? Why do it?

1) More "cinematic" look (24 fps is standard for movies)
2) 25p is a standard PAL/SECAM frame rate, which makes distribution and broadcasting far easier in PAL/SECAM land.

What's the best conversion from 30p to 25p? Does the quality take a hit when you slow it down by reducing the number of frames per second, or does it look smoother as when you shoot film at 30fps than transfer it to tape at 25fps?
