ok probably been asked a million times, i watched the philip bloom converting vid, and i got the program he said we should get, but he converts it to quicktime, i do not how ever want quicktime, i want dvc pro hd, to mix with my hvx202 footage, though every size and ratio i try ends up being wrong ratios and sizes... i cant nail it!

any help or an easier way? :)

thanks in advance

I've mixed my HPX500 with 5D video. I use Grassvalley Edius, so no transcoding needed. Everything is realtime which is cool.

I made a project timeline of 1920X1020. That's it, works great. Or, you could just pick a DVproHD project and the Canon footage will conform to the Edius timeline with no rendering.

Before I bought Edius, I was using Cineform for conversion. to AVI,etc. Pretty cheap, works great.

Try the free demo of Edius: http://www.grassvalley.com/products/edius_neo_2

Or you can try the demo for pro Edius 5.5, which I use. Works for 30 days. Alot time to play with.
