Convert MOD files

[Jane55]

Well, as I got some MOD files by my panasonic, and I want to put them into QuickTime to do some editing, but seems I should to convert them at first.
I find this app on Mac app store: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/ifunia-mod-converter/id405209815?mt=12
don't know the quality, and have some one tried this app?

MOD files? if I remember correctly MOD is basically an mpeg2 wrapper, so all you have to do to convert it is change the extention from .mod to .avi or .mpg

change the extention is Ok? Well, I'd try at once. .avi is OK?

On my computer, the only difference is that .mpg produces thumbnails and .avi doesn't, otherwise it doesn't matter.

Hi ,
I use Streamclip or Toast Titanium to convert these files to whatever format I need at the time.
